Western’s Faculty of Education, one of the largest in the province, has been preparing the next generation of teachers since 1973, offering bachelor, diploma, master, PhD and continuing education programs. The Faculty includes renowned faculty scholars and research centres and the Althouse Press publishing house.

Single Ceiling

Partnering with London’s Child & Youth Network, Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre and the Thames Valley District School Board, our Faculty launched Single Ceiling: a unique initiative that simplifies access to children’s mental health care services.

Mary J. Wright Research and Education Centre at Merrymount

The Mary J. Wright Research and Education Centre will drive state-of-the-art interdisciplinary research that examines factors impacting early childhood development, with the goal of fostering the health and wellbeing of society’s most vulnerable children.

Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women & Children (CREVAWC)

The Centre is committed to the development and application of knowledge for the prevention of violence against women and children through promoting innovation, collaboration and equality. CREVAWC facilitates the collaboration of individuals, groups and institutions representing the diversity of the community to pursue research questions and training opportunities to understand and prevent violence and abuse.
